VTT (notified body of Finland number 0537, in accordance with Article 9 of the Council Directive 94/9/EC of March 1994) has notified that Centaurea Oy has a production quality system that complies to Annex IV of the Directive.

VTT has assessed Centaurea Oy´s quality system and found that it meets the requirements of SFS-EN ISO 9001:2000. Certification covers designing-, manufacturing-, marketing- and service functions of portable luminaries.

Centaurea Oy has chosen VTT to be responsible for all the necessary certification related to explosion protected luminaries designed and manufactured by Centaurea Oy.

As an ATEX Notified Body, VTT gives EC-type examination certificates to electrical equipment and production and product quality assurances according to that directive. On the basis of these cetificates, Centaurea Oy can draw up an EC declaration of conformity and affix the CE-mark.

Assessments and certificates of VTT provides full compliance of electrical equipment with ATEX-directive in the whole European Economic Area (EEA). In addition, VTT certificates are accepted as such by nearly all countries outside Europe.
